Catherine Reibel
Senior Designer
Catherine leads the design direction and client development of projects in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. Catherine’s design ethic is rooted in her study of history, art, and ecology. She began to understand the value of a site’s “spirit of place” as an undergraduate history major at Yale. She approaches her designs much like her historical pursuits – understanding a site through persistent curious inquiry. This, paired with her clear, legible simplicity of design has led her to strive always to create landscapes with meaning, experiential quality, and beauty.
Catherine studied landscape architecture at UC Berkeley, where she reinforced her belief that functional landscapes with ecologically robust value should be the foundation of design. She was formerly an associate and project manager at Pamela Burton and Company, as well as Stephen Billings Landscape Architecture in Los Angeles, working on large scale public developments and residential estates. As a Pacific Palisades native, she is particularly interested in the post-fire rebuilding process.
Molly Funk
Landscape Architect
Molly brings 10 years of experience working locally and internationally to the firm where she leads residential and commercial projects in LA and Santa Barbara. As a licensed Landscape Architect, Molly approaches projects with both her technical expertise and a refined design sensibility.
Molly deeply believes in landscape architecture’s ability to not only nurture the land, but enhance the wellbeing of an individual and family. This ethos was strengthened during her time living in Copenhagen, Denmark where her work focused on improving daily lives with elegant and timeless design solutions. Molly brings this experience to each of her projects with a considerate approach to site design as well as plant and material selection.
Molly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography & Environmental Studies from UCLA and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Southern California. Before joining the firm, Molly worked on large-scale residential, commercial, and public projects for Pamela Burton & Company and Studio-MLA in Los Angeles and Ojai.
